When should I file my lawsuit?

There are laws governing when a person is allowed to file for compensation. Known as the statute of limitations, this rule is in place to prevent people from filing for injuries that occurred a long time ago. In the state of New Jersey, this time limit generally runs out after two years from when the injury was discovered. If a person doesn’t file within this time period, they may not be allowed to file at all.

If you’ve been injured and are considering filing for compensation, our experienced advisors may be able to help you with your claim. For additional information about the deadlines and responsibilities of a person filing, contact the Newark personal injury attorneys of Levinson Axelrod, P.A., at 800-346-5529 today.
