A 9-year-old boy from Gillette, New Jersey has made great strides in recovering from a traumatic brain injury that occurred following a fall from a hay-ride. An accident involving an SUV and a dump truck on a rural road left one New Jersey woman dead on Monday morning. Authorities say the accident occurred around 8:45 a.m. on Route 524, when the woman’s 2001 Lincoln Navigator collided with the front end of the dump truck as it was making a left turn on the rural road. The SUV swerved off the side of the road and flipped over, ejecting the woman from the vehicle. Sources say the 29-year old driver of the truck was uninjured in the accident.

A six-vehicle accident forced authorities to close the New Jersey Turnpike for two hours on Tuesday morning. Four tractor-trailers, as well as an SUV and one pickup-truck were involved in the accident, which may have been caused by heavy traffic and slick road conditions. Two men who were in the SUV were transported to local hospitals following the accident.

A one-car accident in Edison Sunday shut down most lanes of Route 18 as workers tried to clear the scene. According to Edison police, a 30-year-old man was driving a 1999 Honda minivan on Route 18, between Eggers Street and Edgeboro Road.
