Southbound lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike have been closed off following a fiery accident that left one dead. A 23 year-old woman from Morris County was recently killed in an accident after being struck by a car while crossing Route 35.

The woman died from her injuries five days after being initially struck. The woman was rushed to a hospital after the accident occurred and remained there until her death.

The driver of the 1990 Lexus 400 that struck the woman was a 43 year-old Edison man. According to reports, the driver had the right of way because of a green light. The driver was not charged in the fatal accident.

One Dead in Boating Accident

A New Jersey man has died following his involvement in a boating accident which occurred near Gansevoort late Tuesday night. Members of the New Brunswick community held a candlelight vigil recently for a boy who was killed in mid-October attempting to cross Route 18 at its intersection with Commercial Avenue with three friends.
