Car and train involved in collision

According to authorities, an 81-year-old man was injured in a train accident after his car was struck by a New Jersey Transit train.
The accident occurred as the man attempted to turn into a parking lot and drove under the crossing gate that was down. The train had 35 passengers on it and was traveling to Spring Valley, N.Y. Traffic was delayed for nearly an hour after the accident. The New York resident was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
