Two New Jersey police officers rescued a man from a burning car after an accident in Hillside.

The accident occurred as the officer’s were pursuing the man because he was driving a suspected stolen car. The driver allegedly stole the vehicle in Irvington a few nights prior to the chase.

The police officers identified the stolen vehicle on Route 22 and began to pursue the vehicle. The chase went on for about a mile before the driver of the car crashed the vehicle causing it to flip over. The police officers than shattered the window to pull the man to safety.
