Insurance companies show that car-deer collisions in New Jersey are up

According to auto insurance companies, car and deer collisions are up 21 percent over the past five years and have caused more that one million car accidents a year.

New Jersey is also seeing an increase according to the state Department of Transportation. Insurance providers have stated that the average accident costs after a deer and car accident are roughly $3,103.

About 200 people are killed a year after accidents with a deer or swerving to avoid a deer. Some think that the high speed limits on roadways are part of the reason that this number is so high.

If you or a loved has been in an accident with a deer after speed limits were unsafe on a roadway, contact the Edison car accident lawyers of Levinson and Axlerod by calling 800-346-5529.
