Law enforcement across New Jersey are cracking down on drunken drivers during the Labor Day holiday in a campaign called “Over the Limit, Under Arrest.”
The campaign began on August 26 and will go through September 6, Labor Day, and will be equipped with sobriety checkpoints and extra law enforcement officials that will be keeping an extra eye out for impaired drivers on the road.
The campaign is aimed to teach the dangers of drunken driving and law enforcement are using every tool they have to push the initiative. Last year in New Jersey, 185 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes, 67 of the crashes occurred during the Summer months.
