Man charged after "American-Idol" wannabe was killed in accident

Posted on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 9:10 am

Last year, an energetic “American-Idol” hopeful was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Seaside, New Jersey. The man who struck her is now charged with aggravated manslaughter.

The 24-year-old man was also charged with death by auto, knowingly leaving the scene of the accident, and eluding police after the accident that killed the 25-year-old woman.

The woman was stuck by the car and her body was found at 5 a.m. on July 25. She died of head and torso injuries sustained in the accident.

Pedestrian accidents can cause serious injury and can have traumatizing effects on everyone involved, our condolences are with the family of the victim.
