A 40-year-old man was injured Thursday morning as he was walking along the slippery roof of a business in Pine Brook, N.J., authorities said. The man was working alone on the roof, which was under restoration, when he slipped and broke his leg, authorities said. He did not fall off the roof, authorities said, but he was heard screaming for help.

He was taken to St. Claire’s Hospital for treatment, authorities said, after medical personnel stabilized him and brought him down with the help of the fire department. According to reports, the building where the incident occurred is approximately 25 feet high.
