The family of a man who fell two stories due to a broken railing is suing the city of New Brunswick, as well as the house’s landlord. If you or someone you love has been injured because of someone else’s negligence, the Edison premises liability lawyers of Levinson Axelrod, P.A. may be able to help you fight for justice.
The 19-year-old man was visiting a friend at his New Brunswick house last year when railing he was leaning on broke under his weight, sending him falling two stories head-first onto the concrete below. He was seriously injured and suffered a brain injury, necessitating a medically induced coma; although he has made a miraculous recovery, there have been several set-backs during the process. Now his family is suing the city for not properly inspecting the house, which was found to have serious structural flaws after the accident occurred, as well as the landlord for not maintaining the house properly.
