Edison Accident Results in Downed Utility Poles

Posted on Monday, November 16th, 2009 at 2:42 pm

A recent accident that took place in Edison resulted in seven utility poles being pulled down. The accident involved a tractor-trailer according to reports.

After the tractor-trailer struck and pulled the poles down, several parking lots and roadways were blocked. An individual had to be rescued out of his car because a electrical wire was across the hood of his car, which could have caused a horrible electrical accident.

Many people were stranded for at least an hour as crews had to safely clear the poles and electrical wires. The accident is currently under investigation to determine what caused the tractor trailer to crash into the poles.
