Community Holds Candlelight Vigil, Demands Changes

Members of the New Brunswick community held a candlelight vigil recently for a boy who was killed in mid-October attempting to cross Route 18 at its intersection with Commercial Avenue with three friends. If someone you love has been injured or worse in an automobile accident, the Edison personal injury lawyers of Levinson Axelrod can help you fight for justice.

The 15-year-old boy was walking with his three friends to a community program on the evening of October 19. They had to cross Route 18 in order to get there, which is a state highway. According to reports, they waited for the light at the intersection to turn red before crossing one by one. The first boy crossed without incident; the second was nearly hit by a car. But it was the third boy who was struck and killed. His family and friends are honoring his memory by fighting for the state to make the intersection safer for pedestrians.

This is just so sad. Drivers really need to watch out for pedestrians all the time. Otherwise stuff like this is going to keep happening.
