A 23 year-old woman from Morris County was recently killed in an accident after being struck by a car while crossing Route 35.
The woman died from her injuries five days after being initially struck. The woman was rushed to a hospital after the accident occurred and remained there until her death.
The driver of the 1990 Lexus 400 that struck the woman was a 43 year-old Edison man. According to reports, the driver had the right of way because of a green light. The driver was not charged in the fatal accident.

A New Jersey man has died following his involvement in a boating accident which occurred near Gansevoort late Tuesday night. A recent accident that took place in Edison resulted in seven utility poles being pulled down. The accident involved a tractor-trailer according to reports.
After the tractor-trailer struck and pulled the poles down, several parking lots and roadways were blocked. An individual had to be rescued out of his car because a electrical wire was across the hood of his car, which could have caused a horrible electrical accident.
Many people were stranded for at least an hour as crews had to safely clear the poles and electrical wires. The accident is currently under investigation to determine what caused the tractor trailer to crash into the poles.

Members of the New Brunswick community held a candlelight vigil recently for a boy who was killed in mid-October attempting to cross Route 18 at its intersection with Commercial Avenue with three friends. A construction worker in Edison suffered serious injuries when a steamroller rolled over and crushed his leg. The accident caused extremely serious injuries to the man’s leg as the construction equipment weights several tons.
The worker was rushed to a hospital. The condition of the man was not readily available, however the man was listed in critical condition. The accident will be under investigation to determine the cause.
